Join the Movement to Protect Ocean City, Maryland from Ocean Industrialization
Offshore wind turbines have a hidden dark side. The construction and maintenance of offshore wind turbines cause wildlife destruction, noise, and pollution. Plus, they disrupt local ecosystems, threaten precious wildlife, and ruin the sunrise view. With a limited lifespan, they also create waste and pollution.
Stop Offshore Wind Turbines
Welcome to Save Ocean City, a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to preserving our coastline. We are a community-driven, all-volunteer group that seeks to inform and engage the public about the significant dangers posed by offshore wind turbines.
The industrialization of our coastline is being executed without a full in-depth understanding the effects on tourism, fisheries, wildlife and coastal communities.
We exist to share the hard facts about how offshore wind turbines will impact our coastline, communities, cost of living, wildlife, and more.
Please support our fight by making a donation to help stop the industrialization of our ocean by offshore wind energy.
Don't let this happen
Our Sunrise is in danger
Do you know what's planned for the Ocean City coastline?Imminent Danger
Habitat Disruption. Noise. Pollution. Altered Ecosystems. And more.
Learn how wind turbines destroy habitats, alter ecosystems, disrupt local wildlife, and generate pollution.
Visual Pollution
Our coast line will be cluttered with massive structures that are 3x the size of the Statue of Liberty. Say goodbye to uninterrupted sunrises.
Wildlife
Offshore wind farms can destroy and unsettle marine habitats. The disturbances can be devastating, leading to countless marine animal deaths. Plus ,they generate underwater noise that negatively affects marine mammals, large fish, birds, and bats.
Tourism
The quiet, peaceful Ocean City that we know and love will be impacted by constant noise, debris, large boats, maintenance crews, and more.
Pollution
To maintain the turbines, the beloved Ocean City Fishing Harbor will become unrecognizable. They will industrialize the area to accommodate the five 100’+ crews and vessels necessary to service the turbines.
